BAR PRESENTS TOP HONORS
TO GEIER AND BRITTAIN
At its Celebration of Leadership on June 20, the
D.C. Bar honored Paul Geier and John Brittain for
their outstanding accomplishments. Geier, assistant
general counsel for international and aviation-economic
law at the U.S. Department of
Transportation, received the 2024 Beatrice Rosenberg
Award for Excellence in Government Service
while Brittain, professor at the University of the
District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of
Law, won the 2024 Thurgood Marshall Award for
his lifelong commitment to advancing civil rights.

D.C. BAR, D.C. COURTS CELEBRATE
STRONG PARTNERSHIP
On April 25 the District of Columbia bench and bar came
together at the D.C. Bar headquarters for the 2024 Judicial
Leadership Luncheon. CEO Robert Spagnoletti summarized
the Bar's accomplishments during the past fiscal year, while
D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center Executive Director Kelli Neptune
discussed the center's latest initiatives. The chief judges of
the D.C. Courts updated attendees on court improvements
as well as continuing struggles with judicial vacancies.
