Washington University
Law School 2L
student Kiera Yu as
its 2024-2025 writer
in residence. Yu currently works as a legal intern at
the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board,
where she researches U.S. and international regulatory
and audit policy issues. During her residency,
Yu will collaborate with D.C. Bar staff writers
and editors to produce content for the Bar's multimedia
channels. The Writer in Residence Program
is sponsored by the D.C. Bar Law Student Community.

On October 9, approximately 100 people gathered
at the D.C. Bar for Practice 360º, an annual
presentation by the Bar's Practice Management
Advisory Service. The daylong event offered attorneys
strategies to boost their services, stay abreast
of the latest technological advancements in the
legal space, and navigate business and legal
ethics concerns.

3 CANDIDATES NOMINATED
FOR SUPERIOR COURT VACANCY
The District of Columbia Judicial Nomination
Commission has recommended to the president
three candidates for a judicial vacancy on the
Superior Court of the District of Columbia created
by the retirement of Judge Anita Josey-Herring.
The candidates are D.C. Superior Court Magistrate
Judge Eric S. Glover; Kathleen Konopka, legal
director for the Global Health Advocacy Incubator;
and Micah Salb, principal attorney at Lippman,
Semsker & Salb, LLC.
