FEATURE FAMILY LAW ASSISTANCE NETWORK DELIVERING RAPID LEGAL RESPONSE By John Murph B ack in early April, Jenadee Nanini, a D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center staff attorney, received a call about a client seeking legal help in a child custody matter. The client's call for help sounded routine enough, but the court was requesting an emergency hearing with four minutes' notice. "I had to push back and say, can we do it in a half-hour?" recalls Nanini. She filed the emergency plead ing, and the court acted rapidly.
