because he did not agree with
the court's analysis of the
question whether Rohde's conviction involved moral turpitude

Reciprocal Matters
In re Ronald E. Aronds. Bar No.
478537. August 2, 2018. In a reciprocal matter from Tennessee, the
D.C. Court of Appeals imposed an
indefinite disability suspension.
In re Patricia Joan Barry. Bar No.
226498. August 23, 2018. In a
reciprocal matter from California,
the D.C. Court of Appeals
imposed reciprocal discipline
and disbarred Barry.
In re Karl Blanke. Bar No. 982481.
August 2, 2018. In a reciprocal
matter from Virginia, the D.C.
Court of Appeals imposed functionally identical reciprocal discipline and disbarred Blanke. In
Virginia, Blanke consented to
revocation because he could not
defend himself against charges
that he misappropriated a client's
settlement funds, failed to serve
a lawsuit, and failed to respond
to bar investigators.
In re Michael A. Capuzzi. Bar No.
441987. August 2, 2018. In a reciprocal matter from Michigan, the
D.C. Court of Appeals imposed
reciprocal discipline and suspended Capuzzi for 90 days,
nunc pro tunc to April 2, 2018. In
Michigan, Capuzzi was found to
have engaged in a domestic
assault, then violated a nocontact order by leaving a cell
phone at the victim's residence
and attempting to coerce her
into contacting him.

In re Sung K. Chun. Bar No.
444215. August 2, 2018. In a
reciprocal matter from Maryland,
the D.C. Court of Appeals
imposed reciprocal discipline
and suspended Chun for 30
days, nunc pro tunc to June 15,
2018. In Maryland, Chun
acknowledged sufficient
evidence could be produced to
establish that he charged an
unconscionable fee by asserting
a $12,000 lien after a client representation had ended, when he
had done little substantive work.
Chun also failed to respond to
disciplinary inquiries.
In re Claude D. Convisser. Bar No.
439202. August 23, 2018. In a
reciprocal matter from New
Mexico, the D.C. Court of Appeals
imposed identical reciprocal discipline and suspended Convisser
for one year, fully stayed.
Convisser engaged in both unauthorized practice of law and misrepresentation in New Mexico.

to have violated rules relating to
competence, diligence, communication, fees, safekeeping
property, meritorious claims and
contentions, candor to a
tribunal, fairness to opposing

conduct prejudicial to the
administration of justice.
In re Bo R. Lee. Bar No. 978833.
August 2, 2018. In a reciprocal
matter from Maryland, the D.C.
Court of Appeals imposed reciprocal discipline and disbarred Lee.
In Maryland, Lee admitted to
misappropriating client funds,
then failing to respond to disciplinary inquiries.

In re Ross D. Hecht. Bar No.
439909. August 2, 2018. In a reciprocal matter from Maryland, the
D.C. Court of Appeals imposed
reciprocal discipline and suspended Hecht for 12 months
with fitness. In Maryland, Hecht
was found to have failed to
advise clients of an earlier suspension from the practice of law,
then testified falsely at a disciplinary hearing.

In re Richard Murray. Bar No.
39172. August 2, 2018. In a reciprocal matter from Virginia, the
D.C. Court of Appeals imposed
functionally identical reciprocal
discipline and disbarred Murray.
In Virginia, Murray admitted
taking excessive fees as a
personal representative of an
estate, making dishonest representations to beneficiaries, and
failing to fully disclose his assets
in a personal bankruptcy matter
in efforts to conceal personal
funds improperly kept in an
attorney trust account.

In re Joseph R. Laumann. Bar No.
471952. August 2, 2018. In a reciprocal matter from Maryland, the
D.C. Court of Appeals imposed
functionally equivalent reciprocal
discipline and indefinitely suspended Laumann with a fitness
requirement, nunc pro tunc to
June 29, 2018. Laumann may seek

In re Chirayu A. Patel. Bar No.
460469. August 2, 2018. In a
reciprocal matter from New
Jersey, the D.C. Court of Appeals
imposed reciprocal discipline
and disbarred Patel. In New
Jersey, Patel admitted intentionally misappropriating entrusted
funds.

In re Fred W. Young. Bar No.
458458. August 23, 2018. In a
reciprocal matter from Virginia,
the D.C. Court of Appeals
imposed nonidentical reciprocal
discipline and disbarred Young.
Young was suspended in Virginia
for three years for intentionally
misappropriating entrusted
funds.
In re Jay B. Zucker. Bar No.
494819. August 2, 2018. In a
reciprocal matter from New York,
the D.C. Court of Appeals
imposed reciprocal discipline
and suspended Zucker for six
months, nunc pro tunc to
August 15, 2017. In New York,
Zucker was found to have delegated his firm's bookkeeping
responsibilities to a nonlawyer
without regularly reviewing or
auditing the firm's escrow
accounts. As a result, the
nonlawyer assistant misappropriated more than $2 million
from the firm's bank accounts,
including escrow accounts.
