YAIDA

YAIDA O. FORD, practices condominium law, civil rights,
employment law and estate planning. An accomplished trial
lawyer, Yaida has tried several cases to verdict, including
a 2018 case that she successfully tried against two Prince
George's County Police Officers, Iverson Mall and a security
company. "I get bored very easily," says Ford about her track
record for taking complicated cases to trial. "But I only like
going all the way (to trial) when there is a deep sense of
justice that needs to be served that is bigger than just that
one case. Whether it is the constant narrative that we hear
of the woman who was sexually harassed by her boss and
then he got promoted after she reported it, or the repeated
incidents of widespread grade tampering by administrators
at majority-black high schools who are depriving our kids of
quality education. These are the issues that I connect with
enough to grit my teeth for what could be a very long battle."
Yaida has served as an advocate for both condominium
associations and unit owners in complex litigation. Yaida is
undefeated in commercial litigation against large financial
institutions who sue condominium associations after the
associations institute foreclosure proceedings against a unit
for past due assessments. Yaida's impressive debt collection
practice has strengthened the operating budgets of several
community associations.

FORD

Yaida's estate planning practice is unique in that she does not
exclusively serve high net worth individuals. Her staff enjoys
serving individuals and married couples of modest means
who simply need a plan in place to make sure their last wishes
are carried out. "Ford Law Pros PC started out very modestly,"
Ford says. "While my practice has grown exponentially, I am
committed to doing what I love to do and serving the people
and small businesses that I love to serve."
