PRESIDENTS' RECEPTION
BREAKS RECORD FOR DONATIONS
1
The Presidents' Reception was held on June 12 welcoming the Bar's incoming
president and raising funds in support of the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center. Money
raised from the reception provides for nearly one-third of the Pro Bono Center's
budget. This year's reception raised $1,067,000 in contributions, the largest in
the Pro Bono Center's history. Esther H. Lim, the 2018-19 Bar president, thanked
the Pro Bono supporters.

A team representing the D.C. Bar took part in the 28th Annual Lawyers Have Heart
10K Race, 5K Run and Fun Walk, which brought together more than 6,000 runners
and walkers to benefit the American Heart Association (AHA). Bob Spagnoletti,
Bernard Lewis, Anthony Spagnoletti-Lewis, Bill Ross, Michael English, Kathleen
