INTELLIGENT DIVORCE
Divorce is taxing - financially and emotionally.
Modern Divorce, a new Australian-based legal web
platform, aims to alleviate some of those burdens.
Users can simply submit questions surrounding
legal issues such as dissolution of shared assets and
child custody without having to go to a law office.
Modern Divorce also enables users to draft agreements regarding their pending separation. Even
though Modern Divorce uses artificial intelligence
to answer some legal questions, a team of experienced family lawyers, accountants, and family
counselors based in Sydney, Melbourne, and
Canberra is available for additional support and
guidance.

LATEST PAGE-TURNERS
Novelist Peter O'Mahoney's newest series features
protagonist Tex Hunter, a criminal defense attorney
who also happens to be the son of a convicted
serial killer. In Power and Justice, Hunter must defend
Robert Sulzberger, a city politician accused of
murder. As the trial unfolds and gains media attention, both Hunter and Sulzberger must contend
with all the seedy secrets the politician tried to
keep under the rug.
David Aiello delivers a fascinating tale of legal ethics
in his new novel, Solitaire's the Only Game in Town, in
which Jonathan Jude, a young attorney, takes on a
vicious antitrust class-action lawsuit against one of
the most influential law firms in the United States.
But in order to win his case, Jude may have to compromise his own legal principles.

As artificial intelligence, cloud-based data storage,
and automated systems increasingly become
essential to practicing law, it's wise to consider the
emerging ethical questions regarding technology.
Mark Chinen's new book, Law and Autonomous
Machines: The Co-Evolution of Legal Responsibility
and Technology, tackles these issues as he discusses
granting legal and moral status to autonomous
machines.

FILE TRANSFERS
As lateral moves within Big Law increase, so does
the need for expedient yet accurate file transfer of
client-related documents connected with incoming
and departing lawyers. FileTrail Inc., a leading webbased record management platform used in the
legal sector, recently launched Mobility Manager,
which grabs all client-related documents associated
with a lawyer found in the firm's email and record
management systems.
