Two Years & Counting
@darryljmaxwell
Congrats to former @DCBarProBono
@DC_Bar colleague Judge Noti on
two years of service!

As a lifelong resident of the District of Columbia, it was nice to see the profiles on
some of the city's mom-and-pop businesses featured in September's Pro Bono
Connection article "One Key to Small Business Growth: A Helping Hand of Pro Bono
Center Expertise." This expansive city is made up of small, diverse neighborhoods, and
small businesses are the backbone of these thriving communities. As Sarah Kellogg
writes, an investment in these types of businesses, along with continued assistance
from the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center, can further benefit these communities. Kudos to
Washington Lawyer for bringing additional attention to the plight
of the small business.

Correction
The October issue of Washington Lawyer incorrectly
reported that Disciplinary Counsel Wallace E. "Gene"
Shipp Jr. is retiring this fall. Gene plans to stay in his
position until mid-2017. The Board on Professional
Responsibility will conduct a search for his successor.

Great Night for Small Biz
