In re Vaughan C. Jones. Bar No. 1018118. On
February 10, 2014, the Virginia State Bar Third
District Subcommittee issued a public reprimand to Jones for violating a professional rule
that governs safekeeping of property.
In re Vaughan C. Jones. Bar No. 1018118. On
September 10, 2014, the Circuit Court for the
City of Richmond, Virginia, issued a public
reprimand to Jones for violating a professional rule that governs competence.
In re Vaughan C. Jones. Bar No. 1018118. On
January 16, 2020, the Circuit Court for the City
of Richmond, Virginia, issued a public reprimand to Jones for violating professional rules
that govern competence and diligence.
In re Eugene I. Kane Jr. Bar No. 393218. On
January 27, 2017, the Attorney Grievance
Commission of Maryland reprimanded Kane
for failing to represent his client competently
and diligently, failing to adequately communicate with his client, failing to take steps to
protect the client's interest at the termination
of the representation, and failing to make a
reasonably diligent effort to comply with a
legal proper discovery request by an
opposing party.
In re A. Jared Silverman. Bar No 357475. On
October 4, 2019, the Supreme Court of New
Jersey censured Silverman.
In re Ronald Andre Stewart. Bar No. 490341.
On October 4, 2019, the Board of Professional
Responsibility of the Supreme Court of
Tennessee censured Stewart for violations of
Tennessee Rules 1.1 (competence), 1.3 (diligence), 1.4 (communication), 3.2 (expediting
litigation), and 8.4(a) and (c) (dishonesty).
In re James Valvano II. Bar No. 464459. On
December 4, 2019, the Supreme Court of New
Jersey censured Valvano for violations of New
Jersey Rules 5.5(a)(1) (unauthorized practice of
law); 8.4(b) (commission of a criminal act that
reflects adversely on the lawyer's honesty,
trustworthiness, or fitness as a lawyer); and
8.4(c) (dishonesty).
In re Jesus R. Romo Vejar. Bar No. 416922. On
December 18, 2019, the Arizona presiding
disciplinary judge reprimanded Romo Vejar

for a conflict of interest while simultaneously
representing two clients in criminal matters.
In re Charles E. Walton. Bar No. 474873. On
October 21, 2019, the Court of Appeals of
Maryland reprimanded Walton for violations
of Maryland Rules 1.3 (diligence), 1.4 (communication), and 8.4(d) (conduct prejudicial to
the administration of justice).

Informal Admonitions Issued by the
Office of Disciplinary Counsel

In re Sonya N. Armfield. Bar No. 491717.
January 21, 2020. Disciplinary Counsel issued
Armfield an informal admonition. While
retained to represent a client who was the
subject of an intervention litigation ultimately
deemed incapacitated, Armfield spoke with a
represented party without counsel's permission. Rule 4.2(a).
In re Robert A. Plagmann. Bar No. 991077.
January 22, 2020. Disciplinary Counsel issued
Plagmann an informal admonition. Plagmann
contacted a Naval Pretrial Detention facility in
another country, where a relative was
detained for criminal charges, and falsely
claimed to be that relative's attorney. Rule
8.4(c).
Disciplinary Actions Taken by the Board
on Professional Responsibility Hearing
Committees on Negotiated Discipline
In re Philip B. Zipin. Bar No. 367362. February
21, 2020. The Board on Professional
Responsibility Ad Hoc Hearing Committee
recommended that the D.C. Court of Appeals
accept Zipin's petition for negotiated discipline and suspend him for 60 days, stayed in
favor of one year of unsupervised probation
for violation of Rules 1.1(a), 1.1(b), 1.3(a), 1.3(c),
1.7(b)(4), and 8.4(d).
