MOVING DAY AT THE BAR

D.C. Bar CEO Bob Spagnoletti and Director of Administrative Services Kevin
Green briefed the staff on the Bar's final day at its former location. The Bar's
state-of-the-art headquarters opened on February 12. Bar staff Mike English,
Keith Wilson and Theresa Inniss, Carole Barnett, and Hannah Fisher-Foreman
are shown preparing for the Bar's move.

FAMILY COURT CELEBRATES
LOVE AND MARRIAGE

Jose Nicolas Cruz Urbina and Yury Marcela Alvarado were married at the
D.C. Family Court's Marriage Bureau on Valentine's Day. The court performed
14 weddings on February 14 - one every half hour. It performed more
than 1,300 marriages in 2017.

WASHINGTON BAR RECOGNIZES
EXCELLENCE IN SERVICE

Karl A. Racine (center), attorney general for the District of Columbia, joins (from
left) Alicia Horton of Thrive DC, Washington Bar Association (WBA) Vice
President Henry E. Floyd Jr., and Tina Frundt of Courtney's House during the
WBA Education Foundation Excellence in Service Awards and Charity Auction
on February 3. Racine was the keynote speaker at the event, which recognizes
excellence in public service and raises money for the WBA's educational and
charitable missions.
